Simple process

How ProjectLink works.

We handle the search and connection. You stay in control of whether you hire the contractor.

Submit your request

Tell us what you need, where the project is, and anything you know about the issue. Photos are welcome.

We review it

We review the request and identify a Partner/Contractor that appears to fit the project, trade, service area, availability, and other available information.

We make the connection

We coordinate the initial conversation or estimate. You can review the contractor's proposal and decide whether to proceed.

We follow up

After the project, we may check in about communication, progress, satisfaction, and your experience.

Important: ProjectLink is a separate referral, matching, and coordination business. The physical work is performed under a separate agreement between you and the selected Contractor.

Free for customers

ProjectLink's referral and connection service is provided to the customer at no charge. ProjectLink may receive compensation from a Contractor under a separate Partner Agreement.

You are never forced to hire

A referral does not require you to purchase physical services. Review the estimate and contractor agreement before deciding.

Contractors are independent

ProjectLink does not perform, supervise, direct, or control the contractor's physical work. The contractor is responsible for its own work, personnel, permits, insurance, warranties, and project obligations.

Need something unusual?

If a request is outside our network's capabilities, we may try to identify another suitable business.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is ProjectLink really free to use?+

Yes. Submitting a project request and receiving a Contractor connection has no ProjectLink fee. ProjectLink is compensated by the Contractor, separately, under a Partner Agreement — you never owe ProjectLink a commission.

Am I required to hire the contractor I'm connected with?+

No. A referral does not obligate you to purchase physical work. Review the Contractor's estimate and agreement, then decide for yourself whether to move forward.

Are ProjectLink's Partners employees of ProjectLink?+

No. Contractors in the ProjectLink network are independent businesses. ProjectLink does not supervise, direct, or control their personnel, tools, materials, or on-site work.

Does ProjectLink guarantee the contractor's work?+

No. ProjectLink verifies basic participation requirements, such as licensing or insurance information, before making an introduction. That screening is not a guarantee or certification of a Contractor's performance.

Who do I pay for the project?+

You pay the Contractor directly, under your separate agreement with them. ProjectLink does not collect, hold, or process customer payments for contractor work.

What areas does ProjectLink serve?+

ProjectLink currently connects customers with Contractors across Illinois and Missouri.

What if I have a problem with the contractor's work?+

Contact the Contractor directly about workmanship, warranty, or project issues. You can also notify ProjectLink so we can document the issue, follow up, and monitor the Partner's performance.

Can HOAs and property managers submit requests too?+

Yes. Our request form includes Property Owner, Tenant, Property Manager, HOA/Community Representative, and Business/Organization Representative as options.
